  I've been to several different restaurants and this one lacked quality and service. We had a large group of people and the server was not friendly and made mistakes on multiple orders. Several times during the course of the meal we had to flag down other workers to get drink refills and/or condiments. As soon as the check was paid (gratuity included) the low quality of service we did receive was out the door--Literally. I would not recommend going to this restaurant, drive the extra 5 minutes and go to the one in Marina Del Rey..

  Good mexican food with good service but in a dated setting. They say this is one of the original restaurants. Great specials every day plus happy hour.

  The El Farolito across the street is for when you're drunk and hungry, but this place is for fully appreciating the diversity and quality of the salsas, the clean and careful preparation of everything, and the whimsical, cozy decor.The meats, especially horizon, are of higher quality here than El Farolito, and the fruit juices cantaloupe taste better. And all the salsas, seriously, are amazing. The best in a neighborhood full of equestrians. Also, Guadalajara is run mostly by women, whereas El Farolito is an all-male operation. Does this make a difference? Yes, it does.
